Pageant of the Masters: Paintings Come Alive

Buy Tickets $12 - $45 $25 - $45

See a work of art come to life at the Pageant of the Masters. This one-of-a-kind production, an Orange County tradition, uses real people to recreate classical and contemporary paintings down to the finest detail. As you take in the visual marvel, a narrator guides you through the story behind each work while a live orchestra sets the tone. This year's presentation, The Grand Tour, recreates the experience of a time when there were virtually no public museums and people would go on artistic pilgrimages, traveling around Europe to see great works of art. Highlighting masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Tiepolo, Longhi, Watteau, Reynolds and Romney, as well as American artists like John Singer Sargent, The Grand Tour will take you on a whirlwind journey from Pompeii to a celebration of Carnival in Venice to the European tour of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show to Paris in the Jazz Age.

His latest subject is Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, who's not only considered one of Russia's greatest composers -- he's widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time. Renowned for world-famous compositions like Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and countless ferocious and brilliant symphonies, Tchaikovsky died mysteriously at the age of 53, only nine days after conducting the premiere of his enigmatic Symphony No. 6. Yitzhak Rabin: Chronicle of an Assassination Explores the Leader's Death

Buy Tickets $18 - $42 $30 - $70

Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, the architect of the Oslo Accords, was assassinated in 1995, traumatizing a country and sending shockwaves around the world. Now acclaimed Israeli filmmaker Amos Gitai blends the words of Rabin's widow, Leah, with live music and projections as a theatrical counterpoint to his 2015 film Rabin, the Last Day. It's a sparse set: Seated at opposite ends of a table, two actresses read from Leah's memoirs, taking audiences back in time to explore the violence that led to Rabin's assassination. The piece premiered at the Festival d'Avignon last summer and now comes to the Ford Theatres directly from the acclaimed Lincoln Center Festival.

Faced with losing his entire way of life, Richard must discover who he is as a human being, instead of as a king. The rule of Henry IV looks bleak after eight years, facing open rebellion from his kingdom as well as his son.
